Warriors of the Red Planet RPG now available

-Whew-! That was a fair bit of work, but Warriors of the Red Planet RPG is now online ready for purchase. I decided to go with Lulu for now.

Remember this is a Beta edition, it has gone through multiple edits, still you may find occasional typos, some unclear passages, and some areas that could use a little more fleshing out. But it is at the point where it needs to be viewed and played by more people so we can get that feedback. (and please, discuss your experience with WotRP on our forum here: Platemail Forum)

While it may not yet be absolutely perfect, it is a damn fun read and I think you'll have a blast.

Right now it is only available as a print-on-demand book, but I verified the quality is very good. You will be happy to have this in your library.

For information on where to buy it please visit the Original Edition blog.

UPDATE: now available in PDF as well as print @ RPGNow.

  1. Wanted to let you know that I love this little book greatly and posted on the WMLP! blog to encourage others to snatch it up quick-like. Thanks for a great product!

  2. I agree. I'm utterly impressed with the simplicity of the "spellcasting" classes' "spells" and it's such a pleasure to have unencumbered, streamlined rules.

Thanks for this, and I hope you plan to release MUCH more--adventure seeds would be useful.

  3. Wonderful system. Very tight and streamlined! I bought one then ordered 5 more for my group! You have captured the genre very well with lots of campaign nuggets. Need a character sheet soon please.

  4. You have certainly captured the core spirit of the genre. And in such a reasonably priced, easy to digest package (I read through it within a day of receiving my copy). I am very impressed. So many ideas swirling around in my brain at this moment, I'm not sure which to start with.

My only uncertainty is whether to play with the rules as-is (in which case I'll gladly provide feedback) or convert to my system of choice (Mini Six).

  5. I bought the beta and the completed version. I am very happy. My compliments go to the good author. I would have liked to have seen a little more equipment and monster illustrations but the product's design grace and simplicity make up for that. Is there any support materials in the works?

  8. Here is the lulu.com link: http://www.lulu.com/shop/thomas-denmark-and-al-krombach/warriors-of-the-red-planet-rpg/paperback/product-22529505.html
    - shipping is MUCH cheaper through Lulu ($10 cheaper than DriveThru!!!) and remember to check the Lulu.com front page for coupon codes (they almost always have a code available and the author still receives full price)

  9. I got my copy today from Lulu! Looks great! FWIW, Lulu does a great job from printing to packaging to shipping...I cannot say the same for RPGNOW/Drivethru POD, all my orders from them have arrived horribly damaged from being packaged so poorly, and I'm talking small softvoers and $60+ hardcovers...I try to steer people to Lulu as much as I can...anyway, enough ranting...GOOD JOB ON WotRP!
